The GS1 Global Product Classification (GPC) standard helps global trading partners to group products in the same way. The GPC schema is made up of numerous components: Segment, Family, Brick and Attribute.
Although the GPC browser provides the varying components, when entering product data into GS1 US Data Hub, only the 8-digit “Brick” code is accepted. These codes will always start with “1000”. To find the most appropriate “Brick” code for your product, use the GS1 GPC Browser.
