GS1 US Data Hub - What's New

March 7th Release:

1. GS1 US Data Hub User Experience

  • The 'Administration' settings are now called 'Data Hub Settings' and can be found under the new Profile dropdown in the upper right-hand corner of GS1 US Data Hub.

  • Improvements have been made to the tool's navigation to enhance the user experience, making it easier to use on various devices.

2. Updates to GS1 US Data Hub Product

  • Global Product Classification (GPC) Field: When creating a product, the GPC field will now require the "Brick" level code if you choose to complete this optional field. This ensures more precise classification. View the How to Identify the GPC Code article for more information.

  • Product Visibility: All products marked as "Purchasable by Consumer" regardless of their packaging level, will now be visible in Verified by GS1 to any third-party viewers. This enhances transparency and accessibility.

3. Updates to GS1 US Data Hub Location

  • Address Suggestions: When creating a GLN, the tool will now recommend address suggestions based on your entry, using the USPS validation service. This helps ensure accurate and standardized addresses. View the GLN Address Recommendations article for more information.

  • Location Creation Banners: During the location creation process, a notification will display if any data is missing or if the GLN data is complete. This provides clear guidance and helps ensure completeness. View the Improve Location Data Quality article for more information.

These updates are designed to enhance user experience and make managing data more efficient. Thank you for using GS1 US Data Hub.
